ABSTRACT: This research examines the impact of policy changes on vocational education systems, analyzing how recent reforms have influenced vocational training and outcomes. The objectives were to (1) identify key policy changes affecting vocational education, (2) assess the impact of these changes on vocational training quality and accessibility, and (3) evaluate the responses of vocational institutions to these policy changes. A survey design was employed to gather data from educators, policymakers, and students, providing a multi-faceted perspective on policy impacts. The sample size comprised 200 participants, selected through a purposive sampling technique to include those with direct experience in vocational education and policy implementation. The case study focused on Abuja, Nigeria, the nation's capital with a central role in policy formulation and implementation. Findings revealed that policy changes had both positive and negative impacts on vocational education. Positive outcomes included increased funding and improved infrastructure, while challenges such as bureaucratic delays and misalignment with industry needs were noted. Recommendations included fostering collaboration between policymakers and vocational institutions, ensuring policies are aligned with industry requirements, and providing continuous monitoring and evaluation of policy impacts to enhance the effectiveness of vocational education reforms.
